Born in 1971, he took the Composition Diploma in the Conservatorio ‘G.Verdi’ of Turin under the guidance of Gilberto Bosco.
From 2005 to 2009 he benefited of a scholarship from the Associazione per la Musica DESONO that allowed him to study with Fabio Nieder at the Royal
Conservatory of Amsterdam. He took part to many composition workshops with, among others, Luis De Pablo and Toshio Hosokawa.
Some of his compositions were awarded and mentioned in composition contests as the 4th International Composition Contest EURITMIA (Povoletto-Udine), the EST-OVEST Festival Composition Contest 2006 (Turin), Premio Valentino Bucchi 2009 (Rome) and the 2nd Composition Contest ‘Smareglia’ (Grado); he was one of the finalists of the Mauricio Kagel Wettbewerb 2010 organized by the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst of Vienna and of the ‘G.B. Viotti 2009’ in Alessandria.
His music was performed in many italian and international music festivals as Konzerthaus Berlin, Rai Nuova Musica, Musica Nova Helsinki, Moscow Forum Festival, MITO Settembre Musica, Impuls Academy Festival Graz, Kissinger Sommer Bad Kissingen, Settimane Musicali di Stresa, Musikfest Stuttgart, Muziekgebouw Aan’t Ij Amsterdam, Gare du Nord - Basel, GAMO Festival Firenze, Tokyo Opera City and Composers Festival Krakow among others.
He collaborated with different ensembles, soloists and conductors who performed his compositions as Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai, Ryan Bancroft, BIT20 Ensemble, Atlas Ensemble, L'arsenale Ensemble, Ensemble Orchestral Contemporaine, Daniel Kawka, Emanuele Torquati, Francesco Dillon, Helena Winkelmann, delian::quartett, Claudia Barainsky, Ernest Rombout, Wu Wei, Mojca Erdmann, Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, Ensemble Geometrie variabili, GAMO, Seattle Chamber Players and Livia Rado.
He joined the multimedia center for electronic music AGON Arsmagnetica invited by Luca Francesconi and in February 2009 he was commissioned to compose a piece for the vernissage of the exhibition 'Futurismo 1909-2009. Velocità + Arte + Azione', held in Palazzo Reale of Milan, included in a wider project which was awarded as the european Best Event Award 2009.
Some of his compositions were broadcasted by Radio Rai3, Radio4 Holland, YLE 1 Finland and by the Slovenian Radio Television. From 2010 to 2015 he taught Composition in the Centro di Formazione Musicale di Torino, collaborates regularly with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai, hold music analysis workshop in the Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo and was the artistic coordinator for the Estovest Festival in Turin for the years 2013 and 2014.
