Mario Linkies was born in 1963 in Leipzig. He studied at Humboldt University in Berlin finance, banking, and foreign trade. His first scientific topics, the German translation of the North American Free Trade Agreement NAFTA and diploma paper connected him with Canada. In summer 1989, he left with thousands of other young people on the way the GDR via Hungary. In 1994, Mario Linkies immigrated to the Canadian Province of Ontario. Today, Mario Linkies is an entrepreneur and heads up the international advisory firm LINKIES. Management Consulting. As a business consultant, he has published several books on the subject of risk management that are available in German, English and Japanese. Besides these, the author has written hundreds of poems, short stories and fables that have arisen during his travels in over 60 countries. The artist works as a poet, photographer, painter, and musician. He is a member of the Society for Contemporary Poetry Association in Leipzig. He lives in Leipzig, Germany, and Oakville, Canada.
