Barrett, Michael Warren
Michael Warren Barrett was born in 1987 in Washington, D.C. At the age of 18, he began his studies in composition at the Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory of music, where he won the 'Lee Goldstein Composition Award' 3 times. After his studies in the USA, he moved to Germany where he completed his master in composition at the Musikhochschule Mannheim.
His major career highlights include composing the film score to a silent film braodcast by 'Arte', orchestra premieres in Heidelberg and Mannheim, and projects with multiple professional theaters and opera houses. Recently he composed a choir piece commissioned by the Junger Kammerchor Mannheim, which has been performed multiple times throughout the region.
